Jayson's Bio

Jayson Graves, M.MFT, husband of Susan and father of Selah, is a Christian Psychotherapist specializing in Sexual Addictions Recovery and unwanted Same-Gender Attractions. He enjoys helping his clients from both a clinical and personal frame as a person in recovery himself.

Born and raised in Washington, he received his Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. With the bulk of his experience coming from working in youth ministries, community mental health and men’s ministry, Jayson has also enjoyed working with couples and young adults. His passion is to see people set free from sexual addictions, unwanted same-gender attractions and other forms of relational brokenness through forgiveness, accountability, faith and purity.

Jayson is the founder and director of international counseling ministry, HFTS pioneering his first original idea: Teleconference Recovery Groups for men, for wives and for parents of same-gender strugglers in recovery worldwide. He is a member of Exodus International’s Board of Directors and of the AACC and SASH.

Along with counseling individuals and couples and facilitating groups he has enjoyed speaking across the country in Churches, to Men’s groups and to Youth ministries. Jayson also serves as a national Program Director for New Life Ministry’s Every Man’s Battle intensive workshops (www.everymansbattle.com) and is the founder and host of The Blazing Grace Show (see reverse flap), a weekly radio program focusing on sexual brokenness and recovery.

Jayson's Ministering Style

After being trained in Family Systems Theory, I take the approach of assessing the client's whole life - including present beliefs, behaviors, and circumstances as well as past history/trauma and family background.

I focus on listening, asking questions that invoke the client's own sense of direction, and giving direct feedback as they take steps to change direction.

Prayer during sessions is available and encouraged according to the client's preference.
